This costume was originally made for my first foray into the Dawn Look-a-Like contest. My friend Alex made the fabric part of the costume; I didn't even get to try it on until the night of the contest! I was a nervous wreck that it wouldn't fit! But it did. My friend Ashston made the armor for me; the hip pieces, the arm gauntlets and even took a pair of my boots and armored them as well. I also made a set of 'Death' robes for my then boyfriend and Ashton made his shoulder armor and he himself made the mask. I was pleased with how everything came out; we made an impressive pair. I wore the full costume one other time to the costume ball at the East Coast Rocky Horror Con in 2000 but thats it and I probably wont be wearing it again. The costume is very warm to wear and the center part around the leotard doesn't lay completely flat. I actually had Alex sew the costume *to my side* so it would look right for the contest. Yep, that was fun cutting it off after; I still have scars from it! :p |
