Gulf War Prep
Only a few days left till Gulf War (well, it's already started but I can't leave till Wednesday) and I've almost finished my first Court Gown! The pictures dont show it but the black fabric actually is covered with a cut velvet pattern. I still need to sew the slashed sleeves together at a few points. I also will need to buy a chemise to wear under this. I wish I had some bodice jewels but ah well! And I have no idea what to wear for jewlery! Eep! Click pics to see them fullsize.

I'm pretty pleased with the way it's coming together. I do want to eventually make a corsed petticoat for the skirt as I don't like how you can see some of the hoop bones. I love the bottom lace on the skirt, its a really intricate weave of leaves and scrolls. Love it! I hope it looks as good on me as it does the dress form!
I made two dresses in blue and green velvet out of the pattern I made for the Mourning gown.
